Scents and smell

Scents pervade our every waking hour in daily life. we surround ourselves with scented toiletries and cosmetics. we clean our homes with fragrant creams and sprays. 
we wash our clothes in scented detergents and softeners and frantically deodorize the natural smells of our bodies and yet most of us the words "perfumes and scents" still have a magic ring, denoting an expensive luxury to be worn only on special occasions. 
sensual and evocative, there's nothing quite like the joy of spraying a haze of perfume and walking into the haze, or receiving a gift of perfume from a lover or special friend, and that's not new - through out history, perfumes made from the finest ingredients has been used to mark momentous events.
